About OFFER
OFFER was the city-wide network for all of the voluntary, community and faith organisations in Sheffield (the VCF sector) and existed to support VCF organisations and networks to work in partnership and strategically influence the creation of successful, inclusive communities in Sheffield.
However due to the Sheffield City Council's decision not to prioritise funding for OFFER's work beyond March 2010, OFFER has now ceased trading.
This website will remain live (although will not be updated from April 2010) until December 2010 to:
- Let people know about the new hosting arrangements and contact details for some of the OFFER supported VCF Networks
- Enable people to access and download OFFER developed resources e.g. the OFFER / Sheffield First Partnership Protocol and 'Triple Bottom Line' decision making tool
- Let people know about the commissioning arrangements for 'How Your City Works' & 'How Your Area Works' - 2 OFFER developed learning programmes that support and equip local people to effectively engage with, and influence decision making structures
OFFER's functions were to:
- Strengthen the voice of the VCF sector
- Support the VCF sector to influence strategies and services
- Support the development of networks
